Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Committee invited me to speak on above theme. It was a meeting of left leaning activists. Longowal is known for its Praja Mandal-All India People's Movement activist Bhagwan Singh Longowalia, who fought against Feudal Patiala state under Bhupinder Singh and against British colonialism. Lecture was presided over by DIET Sangrur Principal, Ghanshyam Joshi and Dr. Bhiminder Singh. Balbir Chand Longowal conducted the proceedings. Spoke for nearly two hours ,followed by lively discussion Later visited Bhagwan Singh Longowalia's ancestral home and Comrade Vidyadev Longowal statue in once known as biggest village of Punjab, now a town!
