8th April 1929-A Day to Remember
The month of March brings memories of revolutionary martyrs-Bhagat Singh Rajguru and Sukhdev. I spent two weeks in Delhi from 20th March to 2nd April. Attended many online and offline programs on Bhagat Singh. In fact even before going to Delhi some media conducted online discussions. During Delhi stay at least three lectures were delivered offline, ironically none of these lectures got recorded, perhaps Zakir Hussain College Delhi lecture was recorded, but I am yet to get link. There were many article links also, which are shared here. Some clippings are also attached, including one article by Amarjit Chandan about a Soviet ship named on Bhagat Singh, whose picture he got, but the painting attached in his article is entirely different, which has no link to Soviet Ship. The painting is recent on by one artist Durga Kainthola. Painting in red hat is by artist Kanwal Dhaliwal.
A painting by Australian artist Danel Connel is used in Indian Express story, also posted here.
